• 1961: Hans Hermann take a chance

and set up his own company in Fridingen an der Donau , thus writing the first chapter of the history of Hermann Medizintechnik GmbH. He was a master in surgical instrument mechanics and, from the early days of the company, he had a clearly defined goal in mind and established a corporate philosophy that was characterized above all by quality and the absolute desire for innovation.

• 1969: our company

take an entirely new path for the first time: as second manufacturer worldwide and the first one in Europe, we started with the manufacturing of surgical tungsten carbide scissors, which have remained a key component of our success to date.

• Late 80s

we invested into the development and manufacturing of instruments for minimal invasive surgery, which turned out to be a lasting success.

• 1995:

we added to our product line innovative titanium implant systems, which meant a focused extension of our product portfolio - a permanent process still going on today.

Hermann Medizintechnik GmbH was one of the first enterprises that actively introduced quality management systems and one of the first enterprises in the entire area of Tuttlingen that was certified in accordance with ISO 9001 / EN 46001.

• Early 2000s

These were the years of expansion: new production premises in Fridingen opened their doors in 2000 and 2007 and a new subsidiary of Hermann Medizintechnik was established in Neuhausen am Rheinfall in Switzerland in 2006.
